In Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 9, Verse 22, Lord Krishna says:
“Here are those who always think of Me and engage in exclusive devotion to Me. To them, whose minds are always absorbed in Me, I provide what they lack and preserve what they already possess.”
Our KUTUMBA seeks to epitomize this beautiful slokha by merging the collective wisdom and experience of the elders with the raw exuberance and enthusiasm of the youth.
Our vision is to help promote our culture by engaging all Kutumba members to accomplish common goals. Together we can strive to provide a viable platform to perpetuate and preserve our Shivalli traditions.
To achieve this, several committees have been created ( including Cultural, Charitable, Educational, Dharmika, Hiriyara Chaavadi and Yuva Vedike Committees) engaging all age groups across North America.
My heartfelt gratitude to the Founding Members, the Board of Directors, Executive Committee colleagues, the other members of the various committees and our amazing volunteers for their dedication and their invaluable and tireless effort to help create this wonderful extended Kutumba.
Now as we move forward as one, I honestly believe that the core requisites for our continued success would be patience, perseverance, clarity of purpose and ability to learn from our mistakes and a mutual respect for each other.
It is said that “Sanghe Shakti kalau yuge ” : Only unity has power in this era. I truly believe that as a team each of us can achieve and aspire for more. When many bristles are put together to make a broom, they are much stronger than they would have been individually.
Let us work together, inspire each other, help one another, grow as one KUTUMBA and realize our collective dreams.
Warmest regards
PRASHANTH MATTU
