One of the stated objective of the Shivalli Kutumba is to raise, solicit, and collect funds either directly by voluntary contributions from members or in cooperation with other not-for-profit organizations to support philanthropic causes. The Charitable Committee identifies the various charitable causes that meet our objectives and works closely with the BOD and the Executive committee towards its implementation.

Kentucky flood relief cause – Nov 2022 – Donated $22,222

This successful effort was run by our Charity Committee, spearheaded by Committee member Dr. Sri. Chandrashekhar and under the guidance from our BOD Smt. Kanthi Chandrashekar, and due to generous donors from within Kutumba as well as outside of Kutumba many local to Kentucky region.

Kudos to our Charity Committee led by Sri. Mohan Hebbar and supported by Sri. Santhosh Raghupathy, Dr. Sri. Chandrashekar, Sri. Krishna Raj Bhat and Sri. Aravind Bairy.

Covid Relief Drive – May 2021 – Donated $10,000

The Covid pandemic ravaged across India causing unimaginable suffering. In response to that overwhelming need, we started our fund raising effort in the month of May. In a short span of 1 month, our members have collectively donated over $10,000 which is a great start for a young organization and reflect the concerns of our members to the community at large.

The Charitable Committee would like to whole heartedly thank all the donors for their amazing generosity and support to this noble cause.
